The MOVE! Inclusive Dance Studio in Nashville, Tennessee partnered with junior fashion design students at Belmont University (O'More College of Architecture & Design) to design and create inclusive dance wear for their students to wear during their fall rehearsal.
Role
Fashion Designer & Sewist; I created the design based off of the needs of the student and the theme of the dance, then sourced the fabrics and constructed the final garments using methods that allowed for comfort against the skin/body and stitching that allowed the fabric to stretch freely without breaking.
A meaningful collaboration between Belmont University and Nashville’s MOVE! Inclusive Dance Studio brought custom-designed dancewear to life for extraordinary young performers. Designing for Owen challenged me to blend storytelling, movement, and comfort into one joyful, theatrical look.
